Harald Lange

Harald Lange is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of sports science, currently serving at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg since April 2009. Lange has played a pivotal role in establishing the Institute for Fan Culture and the research area of "Football and Fan Studies," addressing social and cultural scientific questions, talent development, coaching education, and technological innovations. Additionally, Lange engages in movement research and education, focusing on pedagogical approaches, and has developed a quality seal to assess the educational value of movement devices and toys. As a member of the scientific advisory board for the Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband since August 2021 and a lecturer at the Trainerakademie Köln since September 2006, Lange contributes significantly to sports pedagogy. Previous roles include a professorship at Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg and a visiting professorship for sports didactics at Universität Wien.
