Anja Meissner

Anja Meissner currently serves as an Associate Professor at Lund University since May 2017, with funding from the Knut & Alice Wallenberg Foundation. Additionally, Anja holds a professorship at the University of Augsburg starting in March 2022 and has been a Guest Researcher at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) since January 2017. Previous positions include an Independent Researcher role at University Hospital Bonn in 2017 and a Guest Researcher at the University of Münster from March 2015 to November 2016. Anja's research credentials are further supported by a tenure as a Marie Curie Research Fellow at IDIBAPS from 2013 to 2016 and postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto between 2008 and 2012. Anja Meissner earned a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Augsburg and holds a Master of Science in Nutritional Science from Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
