Dhingra's research focuses on iPSC cells from FTD/ALS patients with C9orf72 gene mutations, improvement of differentiation protocols, and the identification of small molecules to enhance neural differentiation. Prior experience includes a PhD candidacy at VUmc, involving pathogenic mechanisms of neuro-degenerative diseases, and a master's research project at the Hospital of the University of Tübingen, where Dhingra generated and characterized iPSCs from Parkinson’s disease patients. Dhingra completed a Master's degree in Neuroscience at the University of Tübingen (2008-2010) and a Bachelor's degree in Biophysics from Panjab University (2004-2008).
