Udai Raj is a scientist at DESY since January 2021, with a robust background in micro/nano-device fabrication and superconducting device characterization. Prior experience includes serving as a research associate and guest scientist at the Center for Hybrid Nanostructures, University of Hamburg, where considerable expertise was gained in various fabrication processes, including PVD, lithography, and chemical processing. Earlier roles at the University of Hamburg and the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research involved advanced techniques in low temperature ultra-high vacuum STM and the development of STM systems. Udai Raj holds a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a master's degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Banaras Hindu University.
