Sasha Disko-Schmidt is a Project Research Associate at Deutsches Museum, actively contributing to the Curating Team for both Energy - Steam and Energy - Electricity since June 2021. Prior to this role, Disko-Schmidt served as an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University from January 2014 to June 2021, teaching courses on comparative modern societies and Berlin's modern history. Previous experience includes a position in Corporate Development and History Marketing at Gasnetz Hamburg GmbH, where Disko-Schmidt designed an exhibit on the history of gas distribution in Hamburg. Earlier roles include a supplier at Volkswagen AG, historian at Wissenschaftskolleg Berlin, guest professor at TU Berlin, and post-doctoral researcher in the Transatlantic Graduate Research Program. Disko-Schmidt holds a Ph.D. in European History from New York University and a BA in History and German Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
