Jillian Farrara

Jillian Farrara currently serves as an English Teacher at Germantown Friends School, beginning in August 2024. Prior to this role, Jillian held significant leadership positions at KIPP Philadelphia Schools from November 2017 to July 2024 as Managing Director of Talent, focusing on the recruitment and development of educators. Jillian's earlier experience at Mastery Schools spanned from 2007 to 2017, where responsibilities included Senior Director of Special Projects, Deputy Chief of Academics, and Director of Humanities, all emphasizing impactful academic initiatives and curriculum design. Jillian's educational journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in English & American Literature and Sociology from New York University, completed in 2005, along with initial teaching experience as a High School English Teacher for Roma ISD through Teach for America.
