Amanda Freeman

Amanda Freeman has over a decade of experience in educational roles focused on literacy and reading intervention. Notable positions include serving as a Literacy Coach at KIPP NYC from July 2012 to August 2016, and as a Reading Intervention Specialist at KIPP Philadelphia Schools for the prior year. Prior to these roles, Amanda worked as a Reading Specialist in the Upper Darby School District from August 2007 to June 2011, and held program coordinator positions at both Berkeley Unified School District and the Community Child Care Coordinating Council of Alameda County. Academically, Amanda Freeman holds a Master's degree in Education, specializing in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Classical Studies from Wellesley College.

The Germantown Municipal School District is a K-12 school system, located in the suburbs of Memphis, TN. We opened our doors in the fall of 2014. Our students are served by our seven schools: three elementary schools, one K-8, one middle school, one high school, and a virtual school. We are dedicated to reinforcing the culture of excellence at each one of our schools. Student-focused and unique, each school offers families a rich, multi-faceted environment.
