Jeff Braziunas

Jeff Braziunas, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of medical affairs and oncology. Jeff is currently serving as the Senior Director of US Medical Affairs Strategy & Field Medical Excellence at Geron Corporation, where they are responsible for the launch readiness of Imetelstat in low-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and myelofibrosis (MF). Prior to this, they worked at Astellas Pharma where they held various roles, including Field Director for the Central and East Region Oncology MSLs and Senior Medical Science Liaison. Jeff played a crucial role in the launch of several drugs, including gilteritinib and enfortumab vedotin, and developed strategic expansions of the oncology MSL team. Before joining Astellas Pharma, they worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Minnesota, where they conducted pre-clinical analysis in oncology and fibrosis models. Jeff also worked as a Research Lab Tech Intermediate at the University of Michigan Medical School, overseeing the Specimen Core Lab. Jeff Braziunas, PhD, earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Microbiology, General from the University of Michigan from 1998 to 2002.
