Tymara Berry

Vice President, Clinical Development at Geron

Tymara Berry has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector. Tymara started their career as a Pediatric Resident at Miami Children's Hospital in 2003. Tymara then pursued further specialization in pediatric endocrinology, working as a Pediatric Resident and Pediatric Endocrine Fellow at The Mount Sinai Hospital from 2005 to 2009. Tymara subsequently joined Atlantic Health as a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Goryeb Children's Hospital from 2009 to 2013.

In 2013, Tymara transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry, joining Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development and Commercialization, Inc. as an Associate Director in Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance. After two years, they moved to Celgene, where they held several roles including Director of Drug Safety Physician, Senior Director of Lead Product Safety Physician, and Executive Director from 2015 to 2020.

Currently, Tymara holds a leadership position at Geron Corporation as the Vice President of Clinical Development, with a start date in October 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director of Clinical Development at Geron Corporation from 2020 to 2024.

Tymara Berry earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1999. Tymara then went on to complete their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School from 1999 to 2003.
