Tom Scott, PE, P.Eng., LEED AP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Tom is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Gessner Engineering, LLC. since July 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Division Manager, Buildings Engineering at Associated Engineering from October 2018 to May 2022. Tom also served as the Principal at JQ from September 2002 to August 2018.
In addition to their engineering roles, Tom Scott also actively contributed to the industry as the President of The Structural Engineers Association of Texas - Dallas Chapter from January 2013 to January 2014. Tom was responsible for guiding and serving 240 local members and played a role in setting policies and practices for the organization as a member of the State SEAoT Board.
Tom Scott started their career as an Associate at L.A. Fuess Partners from August 1994 to September 2002 before joining HKS as a Structural Engineer from January 1991 to August 1994. Overall, Tom Scott demonstrates a diverse and extensive professional background in the field of engineering.
Tom Scott, PE, P.Eng., LEED AP completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin from 1984 to 1990.
