M. Michele Mossi

Michele Mossi was born in 1970 in Ascona, Ticino, in Italian Switzerland, where he attended compulsory school and gymnasium, and at the age of 19 obtained a federal literary diploma. After military service as a trumpeter, he moved to French-speaking Switzerland, first in Lausanne and then Écublens, where he studied physics at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). In 1993, he moved to Paris to complete his degree at the École Polytechnique and returned to EPFL the following year to begin research and doctoral work in aerodynamics and turbulence, which he completed in 1999. His doctorate in his pocket, he created the engineering firm GESTE Engineering, of which he is today the majority shareholder, chairman of the board of directors and CEO. At GESTE, he continues his specialization in aerodynamics, tunnel ventilation and transport safety; With the development of the office's activities, he then broadened his area of ​​expertise to include railway technology and systems engineering, and had the chance to lead projects in many countries, from the Middle East to the United States.

In parallel to his professional activities, Michele is politically involved: he chairs political groups; since 2008 has been a municipal councilor of his adopted town, Écublens, of which he chairs the council for the period 2019-20; and was also a member of the parliament of the Canton of Vaud for 10 years, from 2007 to 2017.
