Eva Björkstrand

Eva Björkstrand has worked in various roles in the pharmaceutical industry since 1997. Eva began their career as a Research Scientist at Pharmacia & Upjohn in 1997, followed by a Senior Scientist role at Pharmacia Corporation in 1999. In 2001, they became the Section Manager at the Department of Pharmacology at Biovitrum, followed by a Director Preclinical Development role at Biolipox in 2006. From 2009 to 2016, they held various roles at Orexo AB, including SHE Manager, Director Preclinical Development, Director Biology & Preclinical Development, and Director Preclinical R&D. In 2016, they became the Enhetschef at Karolinska institutet, and in 2020 they took on a Project Manager role at Oxcia AB and a Manager Pharmacology role at Gesynta Pharma AB.

Eva Björkstrand obtained their Bsc in Biology from Linköping University between 1980 and 1983. Eva then went on to pursue a PhD in Pharmacology at Karolinska Institutet, which they completed in 1995.
