Gunilla Ekström

Gunilla Ekström is one of the co-founders of Gesynta Pharma. She holds an MD, Ph.D., and associate professorship from Karolinska Institutet. Gunilla has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including all stages of drug development, from discovery to registration. Her previous roles include senior management positions at AstraZeneca, Orexo, and Karolinska Development. Further, she has served as CEO of several smaller companies. Gunilla has also served as a non-executive director in several pharma companies, such as NovaSAID.
