Earlier, they attended The Ohio State University from 1980 to 1986, where they obtained a degree in Business Management and a minor in Math. In addition to their formal education, Deidre also obtained a Transit DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Certificate from the University of the Pacific - Westgate Center for Leadership in 2022.
