Shmuel Gandin

Embedded Software Engineer at Get SAT

Shmuel Gandin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of embedded software engineering. Shmuel began their career in 1994 at DSI (Decision System Israel), where they worked as a software engineer, specializing in the development of embedded software for Power Line Communication. Shmuel was responsible for various tasks such as developing embedded applications for real-time systems and creating user interfaces for PC applications.

In 1998, Shmuel joined RADWIN as a software engineer before moving on to Motorola Solutions in 1999, where they worked as a software engineer in the Tetra Communication Protocol team. Here, they contributed to platform infrastructure development for mobile devices and supervised a team of three engineers. Shmuel also played a role in writing software requirements specifications and high-level designs for new features and device generations. Additionally, Shmuel provided bring-up and BSP (board support package) support for modem devices.

In 2005, Shmuel joined Intel Corporation as a senior software engineer in the technical support team. Shmuel received recognition for their role modeling cross-team collaboration and support in the orientation of BenQ board bring-up.

From 2006 to 2013, Shmuel worked at Marvell Semiconductor as a senior software engineer in the telephony system team. Shmuel was responsible for designing and developing telephony systems for mobile devices, including client-server systems for control messages between applications and communication processors. Shmuel'swork also involved the development of AT command interfaces and embedded Linux user-space applications.

At 3M, Shmuel worked as a software engineer in the embedded team from 2013 to 2016. Shmuel focused on designing and developing RT (real-time) and embedded systems for monitoring offenders. Shmuel'sresponsibilities included developing drivers for hardware components, such as LCD and UART, and working with ARM7 processors.

In 2016, Shmuel briefly worked at Samsung Electronics as an algorithm engineer before joining Roseman Engineering as a senior embedded software engineer. At Roseman Engineering, they were involved in the design and development of embedded systems for automobiles. Shmuel worked on projects that included designing boards for reading and retransmitting messages from the CAN bus and developing drivers for various hardware components.

In 2019, Shmuel joined Juganu JBrighter as a senior software embedded real-time engineer, and later that year, they moved to Get SAT Ltd. as an embedded software engineer.

Overall, Shmuel Gandin has shown expertise in embedded software engineering, particularly in the areas of telephony systems, monitoring systems, and power line communication.

Shmuel Gandin attended Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics from 1984 to 1991, where they earned an MA degree. The field of study for their degree was not provided.
