Matthew Olson

Matthew Olson serves as General Counsel at CARET, a private-equity backed company by Thomas H. Lee Partners, since March 2024. Additionally, Matthew is a Charter Member of TechGC, an exclusive community for General Counsels. Prior to his current role, Matthew held the position of General Counsel at ZOLL Data Systems from February 2021 to February 2024, overseeing the legal and compliance departments in a health-tech environment. Earlier experiences include serving as Director & Managing Counsel at Rimini Street, where Matthew led a team in corporate transactions with Fortune 100 companies, as well as positions at Morrison & Foerster LLP and Latham & Watkins focusing on tech mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. Matthew began a legal career with a law clerk role at the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship and has also worked as a consultant analyzing customer value for KSL Broadcasting. Matthew earned a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a BS in Business Management with a strategy emphasis from Brigham Young University.
