João Fernandes

João Fernandes has a wealth of work experience spanning over the past 15 years. In 2007, they began their career as a Waiter, Bartender, and Team Leader at Blue Arrow. In 2011, they moved on to become a Software Engineer at Movvo. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Delivery Manager at Costa Coffee and ClearScore. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Delivery Manager and Senior Engineering Manager at Talkdesk. Since 2018, they have been the Director of Engineering at GetGround.

João Fernandes completed a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from the University of South Wales between 2006 and 2010. João then obtained a Master's Degree in Advanced Software Engineering from King's College London in 2011. In 2013, they earned a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance. In 2018, they obtained certifications in Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera. João is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidade Portucalense (UPT).
