Nazim Salur

Graduated from Boğaziçi University in 1986 Salur has been a serial entrepreneur for over 20 years. Earlier in his career, he produced furniture and brokered the sale of used industrial plants. In 2013, Salur launched his firs tech startup, BiTaksi, Turkey's leading taxi app connecting taxi drivers and passengers and introduced credit card payments for taxis for the first time in Turkey.

BiTaksi offers taxis in 3 minutes so Salur wondered “why not bring people their everyday needs in around 10 minutes?” This thought created Nazım Salur’s second startup in the field of technology, Getir launched in July 2015. Getir revolutionized last-mile delivery in 2015 with its 10-minute grocery delivery proposition. Getir delivers 1500 grocery items in minutes.

Today, Getir also has sub-brands named GetirFood, GetirMore and GetirWater. The tech company based in Istanbul serves in several cities in Turkey and as of January 2021 Getir operates in London.
