Brent Johnson

Brent Johnson has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Camp Counselor at Camp Firwood in Bellingham, WA, where they were responsible for groups of 6 to 10 children per week, teaching them sailing on Lake Whatcom. From 2007 to 2008, they worked at Inline Nurseries as a Sales and Marketing Representative, handling accounts ranging from small individual nurseries to large big box retail stores, and managing their digital and print marketing. From 2008 to 2018, they worked at WineDirect as the Head of Product Management, focusing on providing an industry-leading software specialized for wineries direct to consumer needs both online (ecommerce) and on-premises (point of sale). From 2018 to 2020, they worked at One Degree and Left Travel as the Head of Product Management. Finally, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Curatio.me as the Director of Product Management and Lead Product Manager. Currently, they are the Director of Product Management at Maple (getmaple.ca).

Brent Johnson has a diverse educational background. Brent completed a Marketing Management degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2008, and a Business degree with a focus in Marketing from the University of the Fraser Valley between 2004 and 2005. Additionally, they have obtained a variety of certifications, including Certified Agile Leadership I from the Scrum Alliance in October 2018, Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from the Scrum Alliance in November 2017, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in October 2017, Product Management Foundations from Lynda.com in May 2017, Pragmatic Marketing's Foundations (PMC-1) from Pragmatic Marketing in September 2016, UX Foundations: Research from Lynda.com in April 2016, and Pragmatic Marketing Certified - Level Two (PMC-II) from Pragmatic Marketing.
