DevOps Lead Engineer at Maple

Jared Young has over 10 years of experience in the IT field. In 2021, they began working as a DevOps Lead Engineer for Maple (getmaple.ca). Prior to that, they were a DevOps Engineer at Numerator from 2019-2021. From 2016-2019, they were a DevOps Admin at SchoolMessenger, where they assisted with the migration of the platform from legacy data centers into a multi-zone and multi-site AWS design. Jared also helped automate the platform infrastructure using Terraform and designed a handoff process to the specific system configuration system using Ansible. From 2005-2011, they worked as an IT Administrator at NeoLore Networks, where they supported multiple clients IT systems consisting of a variety of server and workstation technologies. From 2010-2011, they worked as a Senior IT Administrator at The IT Department Inc, managing multiple client networks and projects. Lastly, from 2009-2010, they worked as an IT Administrator at Prairiefyre Software Inc, where they were responsible for maintaining and upgrading the entire company network.

Jared Young attended the University of Waterloo from 1999 to 2000, studying Math. Jared also holds six certifications from Microsoft, including MCITP: Windows Server 2008, Enterprise Administrator (obtained in June 2011), MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration (obtained in March 2011), MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuration (obtained in March 2011), MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuration (obtained in March 2011), MCSE: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (obtained in August 2007), and MCSA: Messaging: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (obtained in April 2007).
