William Houtart has had a varied work experience since 2003. William began as a Kickboxing Coach and Competitor for Nomad Kickboxing & Boxing, where they represented Canada on two occasions. In 2008, they became a Sales Representative for KnowledgeFirst, then a Business Development role for Idéeclic Inc in 2009. In 2010, they took on a Business Development role at Kanvasys, where they developed map-based SAAS applications. From 2011 to 2018, William held a Senior Independent Development Consultant role at Laboratoire C.O.P. - Ideal Protein, where they worked to improve health outcomes. In 2018, they became a Sales Director at Maple, and in 2019, they took on the role of Director, Enterprise & Channels, where they worked to improve healthcare access. William is currently a Mentor for Business Development at LOI - League of Innovators.
William Houtart has an extensive education history. In 2009, they completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, majoring in International Business/Trade/Commerce. In 2019, they attended the Life Sciences Link & Learn Seminar Series at the Sandra Rotman Centre for Health Sector Strategy at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. Most recently, in 2020, they completed a course in Winning Sales Strategies from the Schulich School of Business - York University, focusing on Selling Skills and Sales Operations.
