Rafael Álvares

Rafael Álvares has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Rafael is currently working as the Director of Product Management at Moss, an all-in-one spend management company, since April 2022. Prior to this, Rafael held various positions at N26, starting as a Product Lead in September 2019 and eventually becoming a Senior Product Manager. Rafael also worked as a Product Manager at Feedzai, specializing in AI, Fraud, Payments, and Financial Crime from April 2018 to August 2019. Before that, they served as a Product Lead at DSSC Digital Software Solutions Ltd. from January 2017 to April 2018. Rafael has also worked as a self-employed Innovation and Fintech Consultant, providing services to financial institutions and corporates in the EMEA region, specifically regarding blockchain, E-money license, and payments license under PSD2 regulations. Rafael has previously held positions at SWIFT and SIBS, where they gained expertise in payments solutions and financial products. Rafael started their career as a trainee at Millennium bcp and Montepio banks, and also worked briefly as an Accountant at J.A. Consultores.

Rafael Álvares earned a Master's degree in Finance, General from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Management from The Portuguese School of Bank Management - Instituto Superior em Gestão Bancária from 2007 to 2010.
