Sascha Mornell

Sascha Mornell is the current CEO and co-founder of GetMyBoat. Prior to this, they were the chairman and co-founder of Phacil, a leading provider of technology solutions to the civilian and defense markets of the federal government. Sascha grew and led Phacil as President, CEO and Chairman for 15 years, before the company was sold in 2016.

Mornell has received numerous accolades and awards for their work at Phacil, including being named to the Washington Business Journal's Top 50 Government Technology Contractors list (5 consecutive years), the Top 100 Private Companies in Greater Washington list (5 consecutive years), and Inc. 500/5000's Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America list (10 consecutive years). Sascha has also received the Virginia Chamber of Commerce's Fantastic 50 Fastest Growing Companies award (4 consecutive years), the CRN Magazine Fast Growth 150 award (5 consecutive years), the SmartCEO Future 50 Fast-Growth Company award, and the Tech Council of Maryland Contracting Firm of the Year award (2015). In 2010, Phacil was named the SBA Small Business of the Year in New Jersey, and in 2016, the company received the Excellence in Partnership Award from the Coalition for Government Procurement.

Under Mornell's leadership, Phacil booked over $137 million in revenue in 2016 and had 850 employees.

Sascha Mornell attended San Francisco University High School and then went on to the University of California, Berkeley where they studied history and received their BA. Afterwards, they got their MBA from Harvard Business School.
