Michael Lawlor

Michael Lawlor is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on hardware engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware Engineering and Sourcing at quip., Michael has progressed through various roles, including Senior Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer. Prior experience includes leading engineering efforts at a stealth mode startup and managing engineering teams for lighting products at Humanscale, where successful projects included the development of multiple task lights. Notable achievements also include winning the Product Innovation Award from Architectural SSL Magazine while at Generation Brands, along with substantial contributions to multiple product lines at Robert Bosch Tool Corporation. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
