Katharine Tuck (Katie)

Katharine (Katie) Tuck has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Katharine (Katie) started their career at the University of North Dakota in 2005, where they worked as a Math Lab for about a year. In 2006, Katie joined Maggie Sottero Designs as a Customer Care representative and stayed with the company until 2007. Katharine (Katie) then worked as a Receptionist at Jordan West Family Counseling from May to August 2007, followed by a Receptionist role at Utah State University Extension from August 2007 to March 2008.

Katie's self-employment journey began in 2010 when they became a Doula. Katharine (Katie) continued working as a Doula until 2018. In 2019, they briefly worked as a Software Consultant at The Courseware Group from March to April. In 2020, Katie took on the role of Owner at Connected Creations Utah, where they worked until 2022.

Currently, Katie is working at Weave as a Site Reliability Engineer II: Developer Experience, which they started in September 2021. In this role, they build tools on the DevX team using Go, including developing a system to monitor updates in the microservices architecture and automatically creating GitHub pull requests for go.mod dependency updates.

Katharine (Katie) Tuck pursued their education at Utah Valley University. In 2008, they enrolled in the university and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, specializing in General Biology, in 2012. Later, in 2020, they returned to Utah Valley University to study AWS Cloud Computing and obtained a certification as a Certified Cloud Practitioner in that field.
