Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead at Weave

Ryan Ball has a wide range of work experience in software engineering and web development. Ryan started their career as an Intern in the Economics Department at The Heritage Foundation, where they developed econometric and statistical models. After that, they worked as a Web Developer at Websites4Today, where they managed client relations and performed site engineering.

In 2008, Ryan founded their own company, Ball Development, where they worked as a Web Developer and created a web application for students and refactored an ecommerce store. Ryan also developed various business web fronts.

Ryan then joined QFS Development as a Software Engineer, where they architected and engineered a health provider credentialing web platform and integrated with multiple vendors using REST and XML web APIs. Ryan later worked at Verisys Corporation as a Software Engineer, continuing their role as a team lead and developing a health provider credentialing web platform.

From 2013 to 2015, Ryan worked at ADP AdvancedMD as a Software Engineer, where they created high-performance SQL Server queries and worked on front-end applications using AngularJS, C#.NET, and JQuery.

In 2015, Ryan joined Rakuten Marketing as a Senior Software Engineer and later became a Team Lead. Ryan led the team through a fast-paced environment, built strong relationships across teams, and architected a framework for handling task type processing.

In 2018, Ryan joined Weave HQ as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead. Ryan built a system for remote network diagnostics and led a team to support MMS in the messaging product. Ryan quickly adapted to a new team and took ownership of critical products like messaging, chat, fax, and email.

Throughout their career, Ryan has worked with various technologies like Go, Cassandra, Aerospike, NSQ, Kafka, and has expertise in building scalable and reliable systems.

Ryan Ball completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brigham Young University - Idaho between 2003 and 2008.
