Dr. Ansgar Grüne has a diverse work experience in various roles in the field of data science and software development. Dr. Ansgar is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at GetYourGuide since December 2018. Prior to that, they worked at trivago as a Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer from June 2015 to September 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Computer Science, with a minor in Electronics/Mathematics, from FernUniversität in Hagen, where they studied from 1994 to 2004. Dr. Grüne also holds another Diploma, this time in Mathematics with a minor in Business Studies, from The University of Bonn, where they studied from 1994 to 2002.

In addition to their studies in Germany, Dr. Grüne spent a year abroad as an Exchange Student at The University of Kansas from 1998 to 1999. During their time there, they focused on Mathematics and Computer Science. Overall, their extensive education background includes a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, and related disciplines.
