Jean Carlo MacHado

Jean Carlo Machado started their work experience in 2009 as an Informatics Teacher at Sabbis Informática, where they taught computer assembly and maintenance, as well as software programs such as Photoshop and Corel. Jean Carlo also worked as a Support Analyst on the school LAN. From 2010 to 2011, they served as a Support Analyst at Newell Rubbermaid.

In 2011, Jean joined NAPNE as a Scientific Initiation intern, a role they held until 2012. Following that, from 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Backend Developer at CUB.

In 2014, Jean joined CompuFácil - Gestão Financeira as a Lead Engineer and remained in that position until 2017.

Starting in 2018, Jean worked at GetYourGuide as a Senior Backend Engineer in the Search & Discovery team until 2019. From 2020 to 2021, they transitioned to the role of Senior Backend Engineer in the Recommendations & Relevance team. In 2021, they moved to the position of Senior MLOps Engineer, where they designed and implemented GetYourGuide's ML platform, applying MLOps best practices and collaborating with a talented team.

In 2022, Jean joined MLOps Community as a Berlin Organizer, while also working as a Staff MLOps Engineer at GetYourGuide, focusing on the Machine Learning Platform. As of 2023, they are currently a Data Science Manager, responsible for Growth Data Products at GetYourGuide.

Jean Carlo Machado attended Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Sul from 2010 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Análise e Desenvolvimento de Sistemas with a focus in Ciência da Computação (Computer Science). Following this, in 2016, they joined UDESC as a Special Student of Mestrado, pursuing Applied Computation. Prior to their enrollment at Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, they attended SENAI in 2009 and 2010, completing a degree in Técnico em Eletrônica (Electronics).
