Denitza Voutchkova is a researcher at GEUS since April 2019, specializing in groundwater-related projects within the Groundwater and Quaternary geology mapping Department. Collaborating with Birgitte Hansen and Jörg Schullehner, Denitza actively contributes to the GeoERA project HOVER, focusing on the hydrological processes affecting groundwater quality. Previously, Denitza served as a lecturer at the National University of Singapore from January 2017 to December 2018, where responsibilities included coordinating hydrology and water-related modules. Denitza's academic background includes a Ph.D. from Aarhus University, a Master's in Water and Environment from Aalborg University, and a Master's in Civil Engineering from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Bulgaria. Other professional experiences involve postdoctoral research, engineering roles, and various research assistant positions, including a significant emphasis on iodine concentrations in groundwater during the Ph.D. studies.
