Joan Briels

Joan Briels has extensive experience in local government and training, currently serving as a Debattrainer at Kennispunt Lokale Politieke Partijen since January 2023 and as a Wethouder at Gemeente Laarbeek since 2001, holding various portfolios including youth, education, sustainability, and social welfare. Additionally, Joan has participated in several leadership roles within regional governance, including as a member of the General Board and various committees for Metropoolregio Eindhoven and GGD Brabant-Zuidoost. Previous roles include a freelance trainer, team coach in youth psychiatry, and diverse positions in youth care, complemented by a robust educational background from multiple universities in the Netherlands.
