Monique Mentjens possesses extensive experience in public health and epidemiology, having worked at GGD Brabant-Zuidoost since 2001 in various capacities, including as a Gezondheidsmakelaar and LEAN verbeteraar, where responsibilities include advising local health policy and leading internal improvement projects. From 2016 to 2018, Monique served as Regiocoördinator Integrale Aanpak Gezondheid Statushouders, assisting eleven municipalities in Southeastern Brabant with health initiatives for status holders. Previous roles include serving as an Epidemiologist/Researcher at GGD regio Geldrop-Valkenswaard, focusing on epidemiological research, and positions at RIVM and Antoni van Leeuwenhoek. Monique holds a cum laude Ingenieur degree in Nutrition and Health from Wageningen University & Research and a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
