Bastiaan Star

Bastiaan Star is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as an Arts bij de infectieziektebestrijding at GGD Drenthe since February 2023 and as a co-founder at Wadify since April 2022, where a sustainable smart-toilet solution was developed. Previously, Bastiaan held various roles, including MD/PhD candidate in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology at UMCG Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen from January 2016 to 2023 and Senior co-assistent at Ziekenhuis Nij Smellinghe from January 2020 to January 2021. Educationally, Bastiaan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geneeskunde and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedische wetenschappen from the University of Groningen. Additionally, experiences include roles as a visiting research scholar at Inserm / Université Paris Descartes and a transplant technician at the Consortium for Organ Preservation in Europe.
