Michiel Morshuis

Michiel Morshuis currently serves as the Head Treatment Program for regional teams and elderly psychiatry at GGz Centraal, a role commenced in December 2023. Previously, Morshuis was the Director of Medical Affairs at GGZ Friesland from May 2017 to November 2023, overseeing acute and forensic psychiatry. Morshuis also held significant positions at GGz Centraal, including Head Treatment Program High Care Deputy Physician Director from 2014 to 2017, and at Arkin-Inforsa as Cluster Manager Medical Affairs. Early career experience includes positions as a psychiatrist and assistant physician at various medical institutions. Morshuis holds a Master of Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University and has completed the CPE program from the American College of Physician Executives. A Medical Doctor degree was earned from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
