Ankur Vora

Ankur Vora is the Chief Strategy Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where responsibilities include leading the Foundation Strategy Team, Measurement and Evaluation Team, and Special Initiatives Function since 2013. In addition, Ankur serves as Deputy Director of Strategy at GH Labs, a private initiative aimed at developing innovative healthcare technologies for low- and middle-income countries. Ankur has held board member positions with Innovations for Poverty Action, a nonprofit focused on evidence-based strategies to reduce poverty, and has previously served as Director of Programmes at The Children's Investment Fund Foundation. Professional experience includes roles at the Boston Consulting Group as Principal, and as a lecturer in the Economics department at the University of Chicago. Ankur's educational background comprises a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, a Master's in Economics, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
