Director, Virtual Design, Construction & Quality at Ghafari Associates, LLC

Scott is always seeking new innovations that allow teams to collaborate more readily, operate more efficiently, and ultimately, produce higher quality work. As Ghafari’s Director of Virtual Design + Construction and Quality, he leads a team that is dedicated to researching the latest industry technologies, understanding their applications, and deploying these tools. Scott is a firm believer in applied innovation, recognizing that technology is only as effective as the person using it. With that philosophy in mind, he is committed to educating Ghafari team members about the newest technology applications and regularly conducts training programs to foster learning and professional development. He is also responsible for developing and managing the firm’s formalized quality systems as well as maintaining ISO 9001 certification.

Scott has been an active member of the EAC industry for over 20 years and is a longtime advocate of collaboration-promoting tools and methods such as Building Information Modeling (BIM). As a BIM integrator and architect, he has worked on a variety of complex projects across the aviation, automotive, commercial, educational, government, and hospitality sectors.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has presented on technology at a variety of industry forums, including the Bluebeam eXtreme Conference and Bentley’s “The Year in Infrastructure” Conference.
