Carlos Vazquez

Carlos Vazquez is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the biofuels and energy sectors. Currently serving as an Executive Advisor in commercial advisory for low-carbon fuels at GHD, Carlos provides strategic guidance to investors and companies in the APAC region. As a Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director of BIOENA, Carlos has been instrumental in developing a biofuels business focused on wood pellet production for large-scale power generation. Additionally, Carlos co-founded Vulcano, which specializes in afforestation and reforestation projects aimed at generating carbon offsets. Previous roles include leadership positions at Energia Pura SAS, where Carlos was Co-founder and CEO, overseeing various biofuel projects, and working as an Investment Professional at Silvermine Capital Management, managing a significant portfolio of leveraged loans. Carlos has also held managerial roles at PwC, contributing to commercial due diligence for major corporations. Educational qualifications include an MBA from AGSM @ UNSW Business School and a BA in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes.
