Iain Marshall

Iain Marshall is a seasoned hydrogeologist and current Technical Director in Hydrogeology at GHD, where they manage diverse projects ranging from groundwater modeling to hydrogeological assessments. Past roles include Senior Hydrogeologist at Fortescue Metals Group, where they oversaw a major feasibility study, and Principal Hydrogeologist at both ERM and Hydroconcept, contributing to significant projects like the UK's HS2 high-speed rail. Iain holds a BSc in Geology with Chemistry from the University of Southampton and an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham. With a strong background in project management and technical analysis, Iain has successfully collaborated with multiple stakeholders across various sectors to mitigate groundwater risks.
