Waqas Akhtar

Waqas Akhtar, P.Eng., PMP, IntPE, serves as the Regional Team Leader and Line Manager for the Electrical team at GHD since January 2022, overseeing significant projects in transit infrastructure and various sectors, while enhancing team capabilities for new business. Prior experience includes roles at WSP in Canada as a Senior Electrical Engineer managing infrastructure capital projects, and at CIMA+ as an Electrical Engineer focusing on design in the water and wastewater industry. Beginning a career with various internships and positions in electrical design and control systems, Waqas holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
