Prior to this, they worked at Honda Cars India Ltd, where they held various positions such as National Head of Sales & Business Development, National Head of Sales Planning, Zonal Head-East, Regional Manager-Sales, Head of Sales Planning, and Manager of Product Planning. Before their time at Honda, they worked at Samtel Color Ltd as a Manager of Product Planning & Market Analyst. Dharmender also served as an Assistant Manager at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. Throughout their career, Dharmender has been responsible for developing business strategies, conducting competitor analysis, conducting market research, and developing marketing strategies.
Dharmender Kapoor completed their EGMP degree in Sales and Marketing at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a B.E degree in Production from Amrutvahini College of Engineering - AVCOE, where they studied from 1994 to 2000. Dharmender completed their 12th grade education in the non-medical field at Uday bharti from 1992 to 1994. Dharmender Kapoor's education began with their completion of 10th class in Science at St. Anthonys High School from 1980 to 1992.

The origin of GHFL dates back to 1933. GHFL has a presence in over 80 countries across 5 continents with four manufacturing units that house the administrative, manufacturing, and R&D for the production of various products. GHFL manufactures products for, but not limited to automotives, aviation applications, and shipping. Garware Hi-Tech Films Limited was co-promoted by the Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. S.B. Garware, in the year 1957, along with the Founder Chairman Late Mr. Padmabhushan Dr. Bhalchandra (Abasaheb) Garware. The Company has developed in-house technology for polyester films in India and put its first state-of-the-art plant for the manufacturing in the year 1976 at Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra, India, which was the first of its kind in South-East Asia. The company produces its own raw material, polyester chips, for the production of hi-tech films for a wide range of end applications such as automotive paint protection film, aerospace , shipping, packaging, electrical, shrink film for label application, coloured films for window tint application, sequin, safety and so on.
