Karen Welt Steeves

Karen Welt Steeves is a Partner at ghSMART and leads the firm’s Coaching and Leadership Development practice. Karen uses her expertise in CEO and C-Suite advisory, succession planning, executive assessment, onboarding and development to deliver value to global Fortune 500 and Private Equity clients through their leaders.

Prior to joining ghSMART, Karen headed the Global Women’s Program at Bain & Company, where she had oversight for the thought leadership, strategy and execution of Bain’s efforts to enhance the success of women across their global offices. Prior to Bain, Karen was a Senior Program Director at the Fidelity Foundation, where she managed a multi-million dollar grant portfolio in the arts & culture, education and health sectors. Karen also served in the Fidelity Consulting Group where she advised business unit leaders on marketing strategies, international business expansion and forming academic research partnerships. Karen began her career with Bain & Company in the Boston and Sydney, Australia offices.

Karen holds an AB cum laude in political economy from Princeton University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, where she was an F.C. Austin Scholar. She lives outside Boston with her husband and children.
