Mitya Voloshchuk is a Principal at ghSMART, where he advises boards and executives on CEO and executive assessment, leadership development, talent planning, team effectiveness, and organizational change.

Prior to ghSMART, Mitya was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company. He advised CEOs, executives, and investors on their top organization and talent priorities to unlock growth and accelerate strategy execution. Mitya served world-leading companies across industries (such as energy, pharmaceuticals, consumer health, medical products, education, and telecom) on operating model transformation, organizational design, top team effectiveness, talent management, and Organizing for the Future.

Among his key projects at McKinsey were: growth operating model design for a leading insurance company and a leading North American packaging supplier; “Next Normal” working model for a world-leading conglomerate; multi-year organizational transformation in the animal health space; talent and culture integration for several multi-billion mergers in North America; and Talent to Value transformation programs for a leading US telecom company and a leading North American consumer health company. Mitya presented at multiple Organization practice meetings, and led McKinsey’s knowledge efforts in Target Operating Model redesign and in Organizing for the Future, on which he has published. He was a top-rated team leader and faculty member, and led mentorship for firm professionals in the DC office.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Mitya was a Partner, executive assessment and leadership development, in a leading European executive search firm. He has been a coach to senior executives and teams, focusing on topics of leading diverse teams, executive derailment, and top team effectiveness. Mitya completed his Leadership Coaching certification at Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute, and is a certified practitioner with multiple personality assessment instruments, including Hogan Assessments. Mitya earned his MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and has a PhD in Economics and a Master’s in Systems Engineering.
