Kristy Lai

Kristy Lai is a skilled gemologist currently serving as a Staff Gemologist at the Gemological Institute of America since May 2023, with previous experience as an Assistant Curator II (Conservation) at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Kristy has progressed through roles at GIA, beginning as a Gemologist Trainee and later becoming a Diamond Grader. Other experiences include serving as a Museum Conservation Assistant with Hong Kong Government and various positions at the University of Leicester, focusing on event coordination and student support. Kristy holds a Master of Science in Chemical Research from the University of Leicester and is pursuing advanced certifications in gemology from esteemed institutions.
