Joe Urban

Joe Urban serves as the Vice President of Distribution Operations at Giant Food since November 2014 and holds a position on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Food Bank since 2017. Urban's extensive experience includes roles at Ahold from April 2010 to September 2014, where responsibilities encompassed managing inbound logistics and transportation management systems. Prior to Ahold, Urban worked at Giant Food in various positions from 2001 to 2010, ultimately serving as Sr. Site Director overseeing multiple warehouse operations. Earlier in the career, Urban held progressive roles at Jewel Food Stores from 1996 to 2001. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Columbia College Chicago and further studies at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
