Barry Shrier has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2001, they held the position of Executive Vice President at Deutsche Bank in the UK. Barry then went on to found and serve as CEO of Liberty Europe Network Limited, a national wireless telecoms network operator and service provider from 2002 to 2007. From 2006 to 2012, they were the Founder and Chairman of the Electric Automobile Association, an organization dedicated to promoting electric cars as a solution to global warming and climate change. Shrier also served as a Non-Executive Director at LeoTerra LLC, a satellite venture, from 2006 to 2010. In 2007, they founded Liberty Electric Cars Ltd and served as both Chairman and CEO before stepping down in 2012. Most recently, in 2013, they founded and currently serves as the CEO of GIANT Health, which aims to improve global health and well-being through innovation in healthcare technology. Additionally, Shrier held the position of Chairman of the Governors at the Unicorn School for the Dyslexic Child from 1999 to 2014.
Barry Shrier has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Philosophy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they obtained from 1990 to 1992. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics from Middlebury College from 1985 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications such as being a keynote speaker for the Barts Health NHS Trust "exponential medicine" course and serving as a lecturer and mentor for the UCL Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy at University College London.
