John Browne

John Browne is an accomplished businessman and currently serves on the advisory board for Giant Ventures. John has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, starting their career at BP in 1995. John quickly rose through the ranks and became Group Chief Executive in 2007. After a successful tenure at BP, they joined Riverstone Holdings as a Partner & Managing Director in 2007. John remained with Riverstone until 2015 when they took on the role of Executive Chairman at L1 Energy. John served in that role until 2021 when they transitioned to their current role at Giant Ventures.

John Browne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from St John's College, Cambridge and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University.
