Robert Schmitt is currently the CEO of Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services, a $250 million, 25 bed Critical Access Hospital in East Central Illinois. Robert previously served as the Chief Financial Officer before becoming CEO. With a strong background in healthcare finance, Robert has also held positions at INTEGRIS Health, Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas, Kewanee Hospital, and KPMG Peat Marwick. Robert holds an MBA in Healthcare from Webster University and a B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University.
