Jima Kato

Jima Kato is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data governance, compliance, and information management. Currently serving as a Director at Gibson Dunn since March 2014, Jima Kato oversees the operations of the Records, Conflicts/Intake, and Library/Research Departments, while developing and managing policies and guidelines related to information governance. Prior to this role, Jima Kato spent over a decade at DocuTech Business Solutions as Director and Senior Consultant, leading a consulting team in records and information management programs. Jima Kato's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Associate at Fabozzi, Theirbach & Caley, where representation of corporations in business transactions and civil litigation was key. Jima Kato holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Wildlife Biology from the University of California, Davis.
