Michael Morden

Michael Morden, P.Eng., is an accomplished environmental leader with extensive experience in regulatory affairs, environmental compliance, and sustainability within the energy sector. Since January 2020, Michael has served as the Manager of Environment, Regulatory and ESG Q&V, EH&S at Gibson Energy, where responsibilities include overseeing environmental compliance and advancing climate strategies. Prior roles at Suncor involved managing environmental assessments and regulatory approvals for significant oil sands projects, engaging with government bodies, and leading teams to ensure timely regulatory submissions. With a background in environmental engineering from the University of Alberta and prior experience in consulting, Michael has effectively contributed to regulatory reform initiatives and advocated for sustainable practices across various industry settings.
