Sergio Villanueva has extensive experience in the music industry, particularly in manufacturing musical instruments. Sergio started their career at Fender Musical Instruments, Corp in 2000, where they held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Manufacturing - Mexico, Vice-President of Mexico Global Operations & Production, and Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing. During their time at Fender, Sergio was responsible for managing multiple manufacturing facilities, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving automation and recovery goals.
In 2014, Sergio joined Taylor Guitars as the Plant Manager for their Tecate facility. In this role, they oversaw all operations and management of the facility until November 2019.
Currently, Sergio is serving as the Vice President of American Production at Gibson Brands, Inc, a position they have held since November 2019.
Sergio Villanueva obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in Accounting from the University of San Diego between 1989 and 1993.
