Eric Hai Chin Kiang

Eric Hai Chin Kiang has a strong background in software development and engineering. Eric began their career in 2004 at ASE Group Global as a Test Product Senior Associate Engineer, where they developed test programs on UNIX-platform and supported test hardware. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at STMicroelectronics as a Test Cell & Automation System Engineer, resolving system-related issues and analyzing system script performance. In 2011, they joined FairEx International Financial Systems as a Software Engineer, completing three full software development cycles for financial web applications. Since 2013, Eric has been working at GIC, first as a Full-stack Developer and Performance Test Lead, creating enterprise applications and leading QA for end-to-end and load testing. Currently, they hold the position of Frontend Engineer Tech Lead at GIC, leading a team in creating a front office application with a focus on geospatial visualization. This prototype was delivered within two weeks and has received positive reviews for its high-quality output and UI/UX design. Eric has a range of technical skills including JavaScript, JQuery, ASP, Excel VBA, UNIX shell scripting, and C++.

Eric Hai Chin Kiang completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Nanyang Polytechnic from 2001 to 2004. Eric further pursued their education at the National University of Singapore, where they earned a Bachelor of Computing in Computer Engineering from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, Eric has obtained additional certifications, including "Foundations in Design Thinking" from IDEO U in 2022 and "Mobile Web Specialist" from Udacity in 2019.
